Roger Phillip Edwards, 66, of Lewes, Del., passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at his home. He was born and raised in Lewes on Oct. 15, 1953, son of the late Raymond and Emma (Hazzard) Edwards.

Edwards was a graduate of Lewes High School and built a career with SPI Pharma spanning over 38 dedicated years. Edwards was a product of coastal living. He truly enjoyed everything the area had to offer, including the beach, fishing and boating. He was incredibly social, attending weekly men’s group dinners at the Horse Island Club. He had the innate ability to make conversation with anyone, even complete strangers.

Above all, Edwards cherished time spent with those he held most dear, especially his beloved grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted companion, father, grandfather, brother and friend, with a zest for life that will be genuinely missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Edwards was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Wood. He is survived by his companion of more than 20 years, Lynne Strauss of Lewes; his son, Bryan Edwards, and Bethany Radcliffe of Lewes; his daughter, Carla Robinson, and her husband, Jason, of Columbia, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Bailee, Cody, Sydney, Ayden, Elaine, Tyler and Cailin; his brothers, Ronnie Edwards and his wife, Rachel, of Lewes, Donnie Edwards and his wife, Connie, of Millsboro, Del., and Dale Edwards and his wife, Teresa, of Lewes; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was scheduled for March 12, 2020, at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, Del. Interment will be private. Condolences may be sent online at
