Marjorie R. Frantz, 94, passed away peacefully on Feb. 16, 2023, at home. Born in Mendham, N.J., daughter of the late Rev. Dr. Hugh W. Rendall and Edna (Emberger) Rendall. She graduated from Morristown High School in New Jersey, and attended Beaver College in Jenkintown, Pa., graduating from Chester County School of Nursing in Westchester, Pa., in 1950.
She was married in 1951 to James A. Whibley and had three children, Rendall James, Jane Cropper (wife of Curtis) and Deborah Stone (wife of Guy), with whom she resided with for the past 10 years and who cared for her.
The family lived in Los Angeles, Calif., for five years and were later transferred to the INA Philadelphia office and resided in Media, Pa. She had worked in the OR at Riddle Hospital in Media before moving to Millsboro, Del.
She married Harold E. Frantz in 2000. They enjoyed many travels to the European countries and were avid bridge players. She was a volunteer at the All Saints Thrift Shop in Rehoboth Beach, Del. She also enjoyed doing needlework. She was a member of East Gate Presbyterian Church in Millsboro, Del. She loved her church and had many happy years of receiving communion there.
Frantz was preceded in death by her husbands, James A. Whibley and Harold E. Frantz. She is survived by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled at this time. Interment is to be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made “In Loving Memory of Marjorie R.
