Bozenna “Brenda” “Bo” (Derezinski) Eastburn, 76, of Bethany Beach, Del., formerly of Baltimore, Md., Newark, Del., and Bel Air, Md., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020. She was born in Poland on July 13, 1943, daughter of the late Kazimir Derezinski and Marianna (Rausch) Derezinski. When she was 6, she and her family became displaced refugees after World War II, legally arrived at Ellis Island in 1950 and moved to a farm in Jarrettsville, Md., for a short time.

Eastburn spent most of her young life across the street from Patterson Park in Baltimore. She married her husband, Warren C. Eastburn Sr., in 1967 and moved to Newark, Del., and moved to Bethany Beach in 1979. She worked with her husband in the construction industry until his passing in 1987.

She was a life member of the American Legion Post 24 Auxiliary in Dagsboro, Del., and also the VFW Post 7234 Auxiliary in Ocean View, Del. She loved to listen to music and to dance.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Eastburn was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Henry Eastburn. She is survived by a son, Warren C. Eastburn Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth; two grandchildren, Thomas W. Eastburn of Newark and Wendy C. Eastburn-Teal of Hockessin, Del.; four great-grandchildren, Henry and Nolan Witman, and Jackson and Caleb Dinger; a sister, Teresa (Derezinski) Moranto of Lighthouse Point, Fla.; two nieces, Liana Hall and Stacy Hall Madigan; and a grandniece, Jessica Hall.

A celebration of Eastburn’s life will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020, from noon to 3 p.m. at Mason Dixon VFW Post 7234, 29265 Marshy Hope Way, Ocean View, Del. Interment will be held privately, at Gracelawn Memorial Park in New Castle, Del.
