Delaware State Police this week arrested a 32-year-old Millsboro woman on felony charges, and a 34-year-old man was wanted on misdemeanor charges, following a physical altercation Saturday morning.

According to police, on Nov. 7, around 8:58 a.m., Delaware State Police went to the Sea Esta II Motel located at 100 Rudder Lane, Long Neck, for a report of an assault in progress. The investigation, police said, determined that the suspect, a 34-year-old Millsboro man, had been standing outside speaking to the 25-year-old female victim.

As the two were talking, police said, Krista M. Gdowik, 32, of Millsboro, allegedly approached the victim with a black boxcutter in her hand but dropped it before allegedly striking the woman. Police said Gdowik fled the scene after the incident occurred, and the victim called 911 to report the incident.

When the male suspect learned the victim had called the police, they said, he became upset, approached the female victim’s 25-year-old boyfriend, who was standing outside, waiting for troopers to arrive, and allegedly punched him with a closed fist. Neither victim required medical treatment, police noted.

According to the DSP, Gdowik was located at the Boys & Girls Club in Oak Orchard and transported to Troop 7, where she was charged with Possession of a Deadly Weapon during the Commission of a Felony (a felony), Aggravated Menacing (a felony), Offensive Touching and Disorderly Conduct.

Gdowik was released after posting bail on a $22,200 secured bond.

The 34-year-old male suspect was not able to be located by troopers and was wanted on charges of Assault 3rd Degree and Disorderly Conduct.
