Protesters gathered in front of the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company fire hall on June 2, after marching around the town and laying on the pavement for nine minutes in memory of George Floyd, who died May 25 in police custody. A Minneapolis police officer has been fired and charged with third-degree murder in Floyd’s death. The Frankford protest ended with participants reciting ‘The Lord's Prayer.’ More in the June 5 issue of the Coastal Point.
