WPS students inducted to Cum Laude Society

The William E. Esham Jr. Chapter of the Cum Laude Society at Worcester Preparatory School (WPS) welcomed nine new members during a ceremony in the school’s Athletic & Performing Arts Center on April 29. The featured guest speaker was WPS math teacher Cyndee Hudson. The inductees include, from left: seniors Ryan Brafman of Rehoboth Beach, Waverly Choy of Rehoboth Beach, C.C. Lizas of Ocean City, Md., Graham McColgan of Millsboro; and juniors Ayush Batra of Rehoboth Beach, Sydney Lamson-Reich of Rehoboth Beach, Marshall Mumford of Bethany Beach and Megan Waller of Salisbury, Md. Not pictured is Lily Baeurle of Berlin, M. The Cum Laude Society is a national organization founded in 1906 that honors the world’s academic excellence in secondary schools for the purposes of promoting excellence, justice and honor. WPS is the only school on the Eastern Shore with an established Cum Laude Chapter where superior scholastic achievement is honored. Worcester Preparatory School is an independent, college-prep day-school for pre-kindergarten through Grade 12 students, located in Berlin, Md.
