On Saturday, March 7, 54 high school teams across Delaware participated in the Science Olympiad competition held at Delaware State University in Dover. Representing Delmarva Christian High School were seniors Abby Agapito and Caitlin Milliken, who placed sixth in the Anatomy & Physiology event, and junior Angel Li, who brought back an 11th-place win in Chem Lab.

“With so many entries, we were pleasantly surprised to have made it in the Top 10,” said Agapito. “All the Anatomy & Physiology teams had to take a comprehensive sit-down test that included some tough questions surrounding in-depth case studies, but we were well-prepared. We’re very excited to have taken sixth place.”

The Science Olympiad consists of 24 events covering various scientific disciplines including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, agriculture and engineering.
