The Ocean City, Md., Sons & Daughters of Italy lodge is once again honoring St Joseph, the patron saint of workers, at its 10th annual festival, on March 28. The festival’s venue is again St. Andrew’s Hall, 144th and Sinepuxent Streets in Ocean City, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The festival’s purpose is to raise funds for the lodge’s charities and high school scholarships for seniors of Italian decent in Sussex County and in Worcester County in Maryland.

Admission is free, and attendees can expect traditional Italian specialties, such as ravioli, meatballs, sausage, subs, salad, minestrone soup, zepppole, cannoli, gelato and fried dough. Soda, wine and beer can also be purchased.

Baked goods from the kitchen of lodge members will also be on sale.

Entertainment during the day will be supplied by the Mario Monaldi Band from Baltimore. Attendees have been known to sing along and dance to a variety of musical tunes.

Besides the food, the festival’s most popular event is the basket and silent auctions, where attendees can win prizes. Children’s games will also be available for families.
