Oliver honored as Police Chief for the Day in Frankford
Jvonne Oliver was named Police Chief for the Day on Thursday, April 8, by Frankford Police Department Chief Laurence Corrigan. During a brief presentation at Frankford Town Hall, Corrigan lauded Oliver for her support of the town and its police department. ‘I’m a pretty lucky guy,’ Corrigan said to Oliver, who brought an eye-popping basket of brownies and cookies for the department on the day she received the honor. Corrigan said Oliver regularly brings baked goods and meals to support the department. Kindnesses such as those, he said, serve as ‘a ripple effect for the whole world.’ Oliver said she was ‘humbled and blessed’ by the honor and that ‘when everybody works together,’ everyone benefits. In addition to a letter from Corrigan proclaiming her Chief for a Day, Oliver received an official Frankford Police Department mug.
