Aliyah’s Cupboard holds ribbon-cutting for non-profit in Millsboro

On March 12, in Millsboro, Aliyah’s Cupboard Inc., a nonprofit organization, held its Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce. Many family and friends celebrated the occasion with parents Kevin Simms and Alexa Howard, as it was in memory of their baby girl Aliyah. Paternal grandparents Linwood and Gail Reid joined the celebration of Aliyah’s legacy. Aliyah’s Cupboard donates gift baskets to parents with a child dealing with a medical crisis. The gift baskets are taken to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. The baskets contain personal toiletries for the parents, as well as an activity for the child, and each basket has a personal note of encouragement from Kevin Simms: ‘Blessing families with a basket full of love,’ which the family said is what Aliyah’s Cupboard is all about. Donations are accepted, and more information is available on the website at, or call (302) 470-6192.
