Young duo spreads holiday cheer
Lifelong friends Kate Frey and Sara Baker have always been surrounded by music, so it was only a matter of time before they came together with their talents. Just weeks ago, they debuted their first joint project, an acoustic holiday album, “Pure Christmas.” Even more impressive, at 18 and 16 years old, respectively, Frey and Baker have already accomplished more than most people at their age.

Local production company finds niche with area businesses
Growing up in small-town Bethany Beach, Ian Martin never really expected to find his big break in the production industry. What started as amateur projects with his friends, from rough audio recordings to unscripted videography of skate and surf videos, though, has transformed his once scoffed-at ambitions to regional and nationwide recognition. His appreciation for music and filming industry has propelled him to the top and, now that he’s gaining more experience than ever, Martin’s not considering slowing down at all.

Indians back on track after loss
Heading into the holiday break, the Indian River varsity basketball team (5-1, 4-1) rebounded from a disappointing conference loss to Woodbridge with consecutive wins over Nandua (VA) and most recently, Laurel, despite an inconsistent effort.
