County adopts $142 million plan
Sussex County Council unanimously approved their $142 million 2008-fiscal-year budget Tuesday, with one amendment to help aging county senior centers.

Volunteers from the Marine Education, Research and Rehabilitation Institute (MERR) rushed out to the shore south of Dewey Beach on Wednesday morning, to aid a stranded dolphin.
Ocean View studies, talks drainage issue

Drainage has become a noticeable issue in almost all corners of the town and nearly everywhere in between. Bethany Beach officials and citizens who have been closely monitoring state legislators’ consideration of amendments to state election code got a welcome bit of news late in the day on June 14, with the passage of House Bill 120 by the state Senate.
Ambulance service gets tax boost

Reports urge funding action for DelDOT

Proposed density ordinance debated

Bryan Hall, a state planner for Sussex, with the Office of State Planning Coordination, said county officials should finish work on this year’s comprehensive plan update before hearing further land-use ordinances.
