Junior Keiosha Shelton netted 12 points in Indian River’s 46-43 victory over Lake Forest on Tuesday, Jan. 17, and sank eight of her 11 free-throws, as the Lady Indians improved to a 6-5 record overall and 5-2 in the division.

“I’ve watched her play since her freshman year,” said head coach John Frye, “and Keiosha is more composed on the court than ever. She’s in control of the game, and her ball-handling skills have improved a lot. She steps up when we need her to and really has a strong on-court presence. She demonstrates that leadership role by setting the pace of the game. [Keiosha] is a class act. She shows up to practice and gives everything she has.”
