Country Heaven

Those who are looking to give a truly local gift can visit Country Heaven for their handmade items, from candles to soap to Swamp Friends. From ornaments ($14) to dolls ($118 and up), these handmade dolls crafted by Crystal and Neva (who both love near the Great Cypress Swamp) are created from clay, wood and recycled children’s clothing. Each doll is numbered, comes with a certificate of authentication and has a fun name, such as Bloxie Pearline, Caledonia Rose and Edweena Nanette. With a tagline of, “They may be small… but they are just as unique,” they’re certainly a distinctive gift to have under the Christmas tree.

Bethany Beach Vol. Fire Co.

This Christmas season, gift hunters can support the area’s first-responders while getting a little bit of Bethany Beach memorabilia. The department is currently selling the vintage electronic parking meters ($50) that were used throughout the town for 17 years.

Station 70 also offers an array of items displaying the department’s crest, on a cook’s apron ($25), belt buckle ($20), travel mug ($10) or even a T-shirt ($20).
