The dinner is being held under the stars at Good Earth Market and Organic Farm and is being catered by Plate Catering. The evening starts with an hour of appetizers and a signature appetizer and wine. The guests are treated to sounds from an acoustic guitarist, and dinner is served outside, along one long family-style table. Guests can then enjoy dessert in the herb garden and mingle with new friends.

“It really is a unique dining experience,” said Sue Ryan of Good Earth Market. “There is a great energy about the evening, being out under stars… I am so excited to be working with Matt again — he is so generous.”

Matt is Matt Haley of Plate Catering and SoDel Concepts. They, along with Ryan, have now hosted three Farm to Table dinners, the first benefiting Children and Families First of Sussex County and the second benefiting the Milton Theatre. This one will benefit the Global Delaware Fund.

The Global Delaware Fund was formed in January of this year by Haley and SoDel Concepts, with the goal of administering goods and services to at-risk children and to those in distressing situations, locally and internationally. Aid provided includes food, clothing and shelter, as well as counseling, scholarships and educational grants. Through a hands-on approach, Global Delaware aims to “create long-term sustainability for entire communities in need.”
