Ethel Merchlinski, 94

Ethel Merchlinski, 94, of Bishopville, Md., passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at Newark Manor Nursing Home, Newark, Del. She was a homemaker.

Merchlinski was preceded in death by her parents, Jonathan and Angie Murray Savage; her husband, John B. Merchlinski; a son, C. Jack Thomas; and a daughter, Betty Ann MacMorris. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jackeline Thomas of Newark, Del.; and five grandchildren, Thomas J. Thomas, Kathleen Harman, Karen Ann Costin, Gerald Saunders and Sandra Kasel.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at Hastings Funeral Home, 19 South Main Street, Selbyville, Del., where friends may call one hour before the service. Interment will be in Bishopville Cemetery, Bishopville, Md. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803.
