Anita Louise Neat’ Brittingham, 65

Anita Louise “Neat” Brittingham, 65, of Frankford, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, at home.

She was a social worker who worked with the First State Community Action Program in Georgetown.

She was a member of the Antioch AME Church in Frankford, where she served over the years as a member of the adult choir, on the Board of Christian Education, and she was a steward of the church. She loved her family, her church family and loved to hold family diners, especially her Christmas Eve gathering. She loved to cook, and loved to go camping and decorating the Christmas tree.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Sylvester T. Brittingham; three sons, Lenny S. Brittingham, Denny T. Brittingham and his wife Robbin; and Tawny L. Brittingham and his wife Trevino. She is also survived by a step-son, Anthony Wayne Smith and his wife Teresa; one brother, Gary Bethards and a sister, Marie Poole and her husband Frederick; five grandchildren, Michael, Keara, Zakiyyah, Mya, and Dominique. She was preceded in death by a step-brother, Robert Sturgis, in 2005, and one grandchild, Denny Robert.

Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at the Antioch AME Church in Frankford with internment on site.
