‘Sports Photography’ program to be held Nov. 13
On Nov. 13, at 7 p.m., photographer Ron Wyatt will present a program to the Coastal Camera Club (CCC) titled “Sports Photography,” at the Cadbury retirement community, 17028 Cadbury Circle in Lewes.
Wyatt is a self-taught photographer whose first experience was an unsuccessful photo documentation of his honeymoon. Armed with a borrowed instamatic camera, he learned that camera shake will not produce great photos.
Wyatt has come a long way since then, CCC representatives said: He has won numerous awards and is highly accomplished, with a wide range of specialties including corporate, editorial, event, travel and sports photography. He has covered the NBA, NFL, MLB and two Summer Olympic Games. His photos have appeared in USA Today, Black Enterprise magazine, Time magazine, Newsweek, TV Guide and others.
Wyatt’s website features a portfolio of photographs, along with several magazine articles on his work in sports photography, including “Framing Energy” and “Shooting the Gold Rush.” To see more, go to www.ronwyattphotos.com.
The Coastal Camera Club is dedicated to promoting an interest in photography and advancing the skills of members through learning and sharing of photographic knowledge and experiences. Guests are welcome to visit the CCC meetings and competitions at the Cadbury at Lewes retirement community. Programs by speakers are held on the second Wednesday of each month and competition nights are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
