Bill Hand received top honors for listing volume for the month of February.

Top listing volume awards for individual agents by office went to: Hand for the Marketplace at Sea Colony office, Barry Grim for the Bethany Beach office, Steve Alexander for the Edgewater at Sea Colony office, Marc Grimes for the Bear Trap Dunes office and Anne Powell and Jen Hughes for the Bayside office.

Dottie Wells, manager of Long & Foster Real Estate Inc.’s Bethany Beach sales office, recently announced the affiliation of Linda Mueller, a top producer, as a sales associate with Long & Foster’s Bethany Beach Office located at 33298 Coastal Highway.

Mark S. Holloway, vice president and Eastern Shore regional manager for Long & Foster Realtors announced recently that the offices in his region have shown an increase in sales volume of 100 percent. The increase was for the month of January 2010 vs. the same month in 2009. Holloway said it was a significant increase and indicates that the real estate market is continuing to grow.

Holloway, vice president and Eastern Shore regional manager for Long & Foster Realtors announced recently that the Sussex County Long & Foster offices, located in Bethany Beach and Rehoboth Beach have been named No. 1 in the Top 10 firms for the past year, based on data supplied by INOVIA for the Sussex County Association of Realtors.

Millville By the Sea is quickly fulfilling its promise to become “Delaware’s next great beach town” with their biggest new homes sales month ever. To celebrate their first full year on the market, the developers initiated several new home sales incentives worth as much as $50,000. At total of 15 new homeowners have taken advantage of the offer just since June 1.

The Sussex County Association of Realtors (SCAOR) held its annual award luncheon on Tuesday, June 9, at the new SCAOR complex on Route 9 in Georgetown. The event highlights member contributions to the association and the profession of real estate, as well as volunteerism in the community.

SCAoR and their Housing Opportunities Partners Committee have developed the program to assist homebuyers in making their dream of home ownership a reality. The LOCAL in Go LOCAL stands for “Local Opportunity Creates Affordable Living.”

Sperry Van Ness-Miller Commercial Real Estate of Rehoboth Beach this week congratulated Managing Broker Bill Lucks for receiving the honor of Realtor of the Year.” One of 10 local agents nominated for the award, Lucks was presented with the honor on Tuesday, June 9, at a luncheon at Sussex County Association of Realtors.

ResortQuest Real Estate this week announced that the husband and wife team of Mary and Al Arrighi has joined the ResortQuest’s Bethany Beach office.

After successful careers in Montgomery County, Md., public schools and the federal government, the Arrighis retired to the Bethany Beach resort area.
