Helen M. Morgan, 95, of Frankford, Del., passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md. She was born March 4, 1924, in Laurel, Del., daughter of the late Albert Daisey and Georgia (Long) Daisey. Her father died shortly after her birth, and she was raised by her stepfather, Roland Slatcher.
Morgan was primarily a homemaker, but she also worked for Townsends Inc., where she trayed and sold eggs. She was an amazing cook, an avid gardener and enjoyed crocheting. She always made sure that no guest left with an empty stomach, be it a family member or a friend.
Morgan enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it was going shopping, going out to eat at a local restaurant or those precious moments during the holidays. She was an example for everyone she met on how to live a fulfilling life full of joy, love and laughter.
In addition to her parents and stepfather, Morgan was preceded in death by her son Jerry Morgan in 1966 and her husband, Walter L. Morgan Sr., in 2012. She is survived by two sons, Walter L. Morgan Jr. and Barry Morgan; a daughter, Brenda Clark; four grandchildren, Nova Williams, Sherry Justice, Shawn Clark and Alyssa Morgan; and four great-grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Morgan Burnett, Cain Burnett and Dylan Justice.
A graveside service was to be held June 1, 2019, at St. George’s Cemetery in Clarksville, Del. Condolences may be sent online at www.melsonfuneralservices.com.
