Rudolph D. “Rudy” Roethlisberger, 69, of Millsboro, Del., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Del., surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lansdale, Pa., on Oct. 13, 1949, son of the late Herrald D. Roethlisberger and Frances (High) Roethlisberger. He had worked as a house painter before his disability.
He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was so happy that he was able to take some of his grandchildren to Walt Disney World. He was also a Steelers fan and enjoyed listening to his vinyl records.
Roethlisberger is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Betty (Jopling) Roethlisberger; two children, Melissa Steele and her husband, Jerrad, and Eric Roethlisberger, all of Millsboro, Del.; and five grandchildren, R.J. Bailey, Autumn Bailey, Ava Roethlisberger, Sophia Roethlisberger and Brielle Steele.
