Beverly H. Bell, 68

Beverly H. Bell, 68, of Dagsboro, Del., formerly of Bel Air, Md., passed away on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at the Compassionate Care Hospice Inpatient Unit at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Del. She was born on July 24, 1949, in Baltimore, Md.

Bell held various positions with the Brain Injury Association of Delaware and had previously served on its board of directors. She also served as a facilitator for the Southern Delaware Adult Acquired Traumatic Brain Association, where she built countless meaningful relationships with people who were rehabilitating from their brain injuries.

Bell contributed many hours with the Bethany Beach Women’s Club, including orchestrating a fashion show. She was also a past member of the Red Hat Society. Bell was an avid reader of mystery books and was well-known for her creative mind. She enjoyed refurbishing furniture, making costume jewelry, knitting and making afghans. She will be remembered as a loving wife and devoted friend.

Bell is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Edward C. Bell; her beloved cat, Misty; and numerous friends.

A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, Del., where friends may visit after 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
