Franklin Pasher “Frank” Ketterman, 70, of Dagsboro, Del., passed away at home on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on March 19, 1947, in Salisbury, Md., and attended school at John M. Clayton School.
Ketterman was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1968 and served his country in the Vietnam War. His civilian trade was that of a mason; he owned and operated his own masonry business. He loved being on the beach, fishing and going to the horse races.
Ketterman was joined in matrimony to Shirley J. Upchurch on Oct. 10, 1978, and they were married for 39 years.
Ketterman was preceded in death by his parents, Georgeanna and William Ketterman, and a sister, Judy Rodgers. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Duane A. Ketterman and his wife, Jessica, and William J. Ketterman and his wife, Marcia; five grandchildren, McKenna J. Ketterman, Karlie A. O’Rourke, and Hunter, Conner and Georgia Grace; a sister, Jackie Steele and her husband, Brice; nieces Lauren Marvel and Jamie Goslee; extended family members; and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, Del. Public viewing hours are from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. A celebration-of-life service will begin at 11:30 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Perry Mears. Military honors will be bestowed at 1 p.m. at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, Del.
