Jeanne Rae Webster, 84, of Millville, Del., formerly of Timonium, Md., passed away on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Del., while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Baltimore, Md., on Aug. 22, 1933, daughter of the late Charles Addison Helbing and the late Mary Jeannette (Hohn) Helbing.
Webster was a graduate of Eastern High School in Baltimore and attended the University of Baltimore for two years, studying fashion, before marrying her husband of 63 years, Richard D. Webster.
She will be remembered as being a loving and loveable person. Her personality was seen by the public for several years as she served as a hostess with the Peppermill in Bethany Beach, Del., and Tom & Terry’s Restaurant in Fenwick Island, Del. Webster also loved dining out and traveling. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children and grandchildren.
Webster is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Richard D. Webster, a former deputy assistant Secretary of Defense under President Ronald Reagan; two sons, Robert Webster and his wife, Gloria, of Millville, Del., and Edward Webster and his wife, Beverly, of Baltimore; seven grandchildren, Richard Webster, Robert Webster, Jessica Webster, Denise Krebs, Christopher Webster, Matthew Webster and Rachelle Webster; five great-grandchildren, Kaydanse Frizzell, Alexandria Sneddon, Kylie Magness, Wyatt Krebs and Everett Webster; and a brother, Charles Helbing and his wife, Judy, of Ellicott City, Md.
A celebration of her life was scheduled for Dec. 5, 2017, at Melson Funeral Services, Ocean View, Del. Interment was to be held privately.
