Rebecca Jean “Becky” Koch, 72, of Georgetown, Del., passed away on Dec. 30, 2018, at her home. She was born on April 1, 1946, to the late Ralph Elliott and Florence Niblett Elliott.
Koch graduated from Georgetown High School, in the Class of 1964. She received her associate’s degree in 1986 from the Community College of Vermont. She had recently worked as a cashier for the Harris Teeter grocery chain. In 1964, she worked for Diamond State Telephone in the traffic and engineering department. There she met Norman Koch, and they married in 1972.
Her journey began as she followed her husband’s telephone career to Alaska in 1976, then to Vermont in 1983, where they resided for more than 30 years. Koch stayed home and raised three sons. After 30 years, they then decided to make their move back home to Delaware.
In addition to her parents, Koch was preceded by her husband of 46 years, Norman H. Koch. She is survived by three sons, Norman Adam Koch and his wife, Debbie, Matthew A. Koch and his wife, Janice, and Ryan J. Koch and his wife, Maria; and four grandchildren, Wyatt, Mackenzie, Cody and Leah Koch.
Visitation for family was to be private. Burial was to be at the Providence Church cemetery in Georgetown, Del.
