Wanda Lee Fisher, 81, of Georgetown, Del., passed away, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018. She was born on July 18, 1937 in Whaleyville, Md., to the late Frank T. West and Myrtle S. Collins West.
Fisher worked in her later years as a cashier at Dollar General, but most of all she enjoyed taking care of her family, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Oak Orchard Community Church. She enjoyed watching her soap operas, talking on the phone and cooking. She was very family-oriented, and her life revolved around them.
In addition to her parents, Fisher was also preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Pusey, and a brother, Thomas West. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Edward L. Fisher of Georgetown; four children, Bryan E. Fisher of Ellendale, Del., Frank L. Fisher and his wife, Ranaé, of Ocean View, Del., Sheila A. Rohlfing and her husband, Gene, of Georgetown, and Bruce A. Fisher of Ellendale, Del.; a nephew whom she raised as her own, Danny Fisher of Millville, N.J.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her extended family members and friends.
A funeral service was to be held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 7, 2018, at the Watson Funeral Home, with burial at Carey’s Cemetery, both in Millsboro, Del. Condolences may be sent online at www.watsonfh.com.
