The second annual Food & Wine Festival at Bethany Beach Ocean Suites and 99 Sea Level Restaurant & Raw Bar in Bethany Beach will offer live music, food from area restaurants, wine tastings, a commemorative wine glass and a silent auction featuring a variety of prizes and gift certificates.
This year’s event, set for 1 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 17, is being dedicated to the memory of Rae Short, a longtime volunteer who supported the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter. Prior to her death in August, the community liaison at Home Instead Senior Care of Dover was an active member of the chapter’s Rehoboth Beach Walk to End Alzheimer’s planning committee. Proceeds from silent auction will benefit the Rehoboth Walk.
The 2018 Food & Wine Festival will feature fare from restaurants 99 Sea Level, Bethany Blues, Good Earth Market, Northeast Seafood Kitchen, Off the Hook, Our Harvest, Ropewalk—Bethany Beach and Sedona.
Featured wine vendors will include Breakthru Beverage Group, Bacchus Importers, Country Vintner, Lanterna Distributors, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, Specialty Wine & Liquors and Vintage Imports.
Festival-goers will be treated to live entertainment from the Bryan Russo Duo.
“Our inaugural Food & Wine Festival was very successful, so we anticipate this year’s will be even more so,” said General Manager Lorrie Miller. “We are excited so many restaurants and wine vendors representing our beautiful Bethany Beach region will be joining us. Everyone attending the festival will be impressed by the quality of their offerings, as well as the fabulous silent auction items Rae Short’s Home Instead colleagues have curated.”
