A public workshop to solicit public input related to pedestrian pathways will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 8 to 11 a.m. at Fenwick Island Town Hall.
The purpose of the workshop, overseen by the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT), is to analyze the feasibility of providing continuous pedestrian facilities along Coastal Highway through the addition of sidewalk improvements and intersection curb ramp modifications. All improvements would be ADA compliant.
Those who attend the workshop will have the opportunity to review the proposed improvements, ask questions of DelDOT officials, and give comments.
Fenwick Councilwoman Vicki Carmean said at the Town’s Oct. 26 council meeting that residents should make a point to attend the informal workshop and learn more about the project.
Those who attend can come and go as they please within the three hours of the workshop, as no presentation will be given — instead, people can attend and visit stations set up around town hall.
Fenwick Island Town Hall is located at 800 Coastal Highway in Fenwick Island.
For those who cannot attend the meeting, comments may be mailed to DelDOT Community Relations, P.O. Box 778, Dover DE 19903 or sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
