Doris E. Filbey, 92, of Bethany Beach, Del., passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018, at her home. She was born in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 2, 1925, daughter of the late Ralph Perry and Bertha (Henry) Perry.
Filbey was a budget analyst for the U.S. Department of the Treasury, retiring after 32 dedicated years. She was active in Christ United Methodist Church in Landover Hills, Md., where she was a longtime member.
Filbey enjoyed traveling and the ocean, moving to Bethany Beach in 2002 from New Carrolton, Md. Above all, she cherished time spent with her beloved family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Filbey was preceded in death by her two husbands, David C. Robertson and Charles A. Filbey. She is survived by her daughters, Joan E. Murray and her husband, John, of Bethany Beach, and Donna L. Renn and her husband, Paul, of Cumberland, Md.; her stepdaughter, Beverly Filbey of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and her granddaughter, Caroline Herritt of Cumberland, Md.
A viewing was to be held July 25, 2018, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville Chapel, in Ocean View, Del. Burial was to be held July 26, 2018, at Potomac U.M.
