“Beach Love,” a new book that features romance stories with local settings, is now available in large print.
“Beach Love” contains 13 stories by a variety of authors. The stories’ fictional characters find love in local towns, along the way visiting restaurants, inns and attractions that will be familiar to local residents and visitors alike. Settings for the stories include Bethany Beach, Cape May, N.J., Fenwick Island, Lewes, Ocean City, Md., and Rehoboth Beach.
In one story, a romance novelist longs for a love of her own, while in another, a disabled veteran faces not only the challenge of learning to walk on artificial legs, but also of finding love. Because the book contains stories by a variety of authors, the stories vary in tone, from a light-hearted tale of a police officer looking for a dognapper to a poignant tale of two stargazers struggling to determine whether love has passed them by.
“Beach Love” is the first large-print book published by Lewes-based Cat & Mouse Press.
“It’s a delightful collection of stories,” said Nancy Sakaduski, owner of the company, “and we’re so pleased to be able to offer the book in a larger type format to make it accessible for readers with vision challenges.”
“Beach Love” in large print is available at some local stores and online. Although the large-print version is larger in size and number of pages, the publisher chose to keep the price at the same level as the regular version, $15.95.
