Letter: Reader praises Rickards auto repair

I just returned from picking up my car from Rickards. We recently settled in our new home in Ocean View and I had a “mishap” backing out of the garage. I asked a new friend for suggestions of where to take my new car to, and she recommended Rickards — I am very happy with the results. Let me tell you about my experience.

When I called, Shawn was polite and caring when I told him about what had happened. He scheduled an appointment the same day to bring my car in and speak with Justine.

Wow — within 90 seconds (I didn’t count, but know it was fast), she assessed the damage. She explained what needed to be done, the timeline, estimate of cost, and answered questions. She is professional, efficient and friendly. She told me a little about her background and about the company and its local town values and commitment to providing the highest quality of service and guarantee that their reputation stands by. Justine is a great ambassador for this business.

With her approval, I walked around (not in) to see the bays for the repair and paint work. This building is modern, professional, clean, with a cozy waiting room. My car was ready before the date expected, and it looks like the day I drove it off the lot.

When Shawn called to tell me it was ready, I know he was happy for me, and when I got there, Jaime was professional to process completion of transaction.

But, wait... I want to thank the staff that worked on my car — the repairs are superb, and the paint work is seamless to the rest of the car. It’s hard to find quality auto-repair work, but you did it! Keep up the excellent work.

I hope I do not need to go back to Rickards, but if you do, or someone you know needs their service, they are great to work with. Safe travels, and be careful backing out of your garage!
