On Sunday, June 10, the Bethany Beach Farmers’ Market celebrated the start of its 11th season by hosting a ceremonial ribbon-cutting with the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce. Market vendors, board members and volunteers were present for the celebration.
The Bethany Beach Farmers’ Market is open Sundays from 8 a.m. to noon, through Sept. 2, and features 15 local vendors. Shoppers will find items including farm-direct fruits and vegetables, organically grown produce, artisanal breads, free-range eggs, farmstead cheeses, freshly cut flowers, local honey, exotic mushrooms, herbs, and more, all strictly from the Delmarva region.
“Our growers, our neighbors — we are proud to be a producer’s-only market in the heart of Bethany, connecting our community with their local farmers who provide the finest quality items sourced directly from our Delmarvalous lands to you,” said board members Doug Mowrey and Henry Bennett.
The Bethany Beach Farmers’ Market is located at the corner of Garfield Parkway and Pennsylvania Avenue in Bethany Beach. During market hours, limited free parking is available for farmers’ market shoppers in the Town lot on Garfield. To learn more, stop by the market on Sunday, or visit bethanybeachfarmersmarket.com.
