Grace Milishie Andrews, 89, of Frankford, Del., departed this life on April 21, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, at her home. She was born on May 9, 1928, in Wattsville in Accomack County, Va., daughter of John Lee Broughton and Annie Marshall-Broughton.
Andrews attended public schools in Wattsville and continued her education in Millsboro, Del., upon moving there. In Delaware, she met William Andrews, and they were joined in holy matrimony in July of 1951.
Andrews worked 40 years for the Hon. Judge Isaac Short of Georgetown, Del., retiring in 2014. She was a member of St. John 2nd Baptist Church, which she attended for several years. She loved singing in the church choir, cooking, doing word puzzles and sewing. She was always a caring and loving mother and grandmother.
Andrews was preceded in death by her husband, William Andrews; two sons, David and Daniel Andrews; and a grandson, Keywine West. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, William Andrews Jr. of Frankford, Gary Andrews of Georgetown and Dale Andrews of New Jersey; a daughter, Carolyn Andrews-Bailey and her husband, Tyrone, of Millsboro; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives; as well as her church family.
Services were to be held April 28, 2018, at St. John 2nd Baptist Church in Millsboro, Del., with burial in the church cemetery.
