Jacquelyn R. “Jackie” Savage, 84, of Bishopville, Md., died Saturday, April 14, 2018, at home. She was born in Bishopville, daughter of the late John Steele and Olda Myrtle (Esham) Steele.
Savage was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Berlin (Md.) Senior Center, Salisbury (Md.) Cruise Club and Coastal Hospice Thrift Shop volunteers. She loved to travel and was a caregiver to many.
Savage was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie J. Savage Jr., in 2001; a daughter, Beverly McKinley, in 1985; and a brother-in-law, Richard Savage, in 2005. Her greatest legacy is the family that remains: her children, Barbara Branch and her husband, Joe, of Fredericksburg, Va., John Savage and his wife, Nanci, of Bishopville, Ruth Ann Seifert and her husband, Fred, of Cambridge, Md., and Amy Habeger and her husband, Scott; a son-in-law, Paul McKinley and his swife, Susie, of Bishopville; her grandchildren, Julia Perez, Travis Branch, Johanna Cullum, Adam Savage, Brian Savage, James Seifert, Samantha Evans, Grace Seifert, Matthew McKinley and Brandon McKinley; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was to be held April 19, 2018, at Salem U.M. Church in Selbyville, Del., with the Rev. Jim Sipes officiating. Burial was to be in Zion Church Cemetery in Bishopville, Del.
