Nationally known comedians to perform at the Bistro
It’s the return of comedy at Bear Trap Dunes on Wednesday, March 5, with headlining acts Pat O’Donnell and Jeff Pirrami, “The Fat Rat Bastard,” performing to a limited 120 seats.
Pat O’Donnell is a professional comedian and has been seen on Comedy Central and A&E’s “Comedy on the Road.” His material ranges from his Catholic upbringing to impressions to his stories of being a modern-day Mr. Mom. He is a regular at the Comedy Stops venues in Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
Pirrami, a comedian and actor, has performed live at the New York Friars’ Roast of Don King, the New York Friars’ Roast of Pat Cooper, L.A. Comedy Store, the Laff Factory, Tropicana, Trump Resort and the New Jersey Borgata. He has opened for Willie Nelson, Frankie Valli, Ray Charles and Chubby Checker.
Brian Jones, “The World’s Funniest Plumber” — a comedian in his own right who has performed all over the country — is producer of the show. Last fall, Jones sold out his show at Bear Trap, “The Old Lady and the Plumber,” and wanted keep it going, so he is bringing in O’Donnell and Pirrami, fellow comedians he met on the road.
“It’s hard to make me laugh, so if I say they are funny, they are. I take a lot of pride in the quality of work I bring to the area,” said Jones. Locally, Jones has booked shows for the Carousel, the Fenwick Inn, Princess Royale and Castle in the Sand.
Dinner tickets cost $30 and include a salad, entrée and dessert. Show tickets cost $20. The show will begin at 8:30 p.m., with doors opening at 8 p.m. Tickets are limited and can be purchased by calling (302) 436-3570.
