Millville held its annual town council elections last weekend to fill three seats on town council. Incumbents Donald Minyon and Richard Thomas ran alongside challengers Michael Jeffers and Joseph Calvarese.
A record 78 voters turned out to voice their opinion on Saturday – the most the town has ever recorded. Both incumbents, Minyon and Thomas, were re-elected for another two-year term. Joining them on the council will be Michael Jeffers. All three will be sworn in on Monday, March 16, at 7 p.m. at Millville Town Hall, prior to the March council meeting.
Calvarese, who was only a few votes shy of getting elected, has already expressed interest in running in next year’s election. He said he plans to remain an active participant at council meetings and a voice in the community.
