TOWN OF OCEAN VIEW PUBLIC NOTICE
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT HEARING
81 Central Avenue (048.000) (134-12.00-645.00)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY the Board of Adjustment of the Town of Ocean View that a public hearing will be held on Application V-246, a request for a variance from Article X, § 999-64 of the Ocean View Land Use and Development Code, submitted by Mariner’s Bethel United Methodist Church. Article X, § 999-64 states that the maximum sign area for an identification sign for public facilities and places of assembly is 24 square foot per side, total sign area not to exceed 48 square feet. This variance seeks to replace an existing sign to complement the structure by incorporating a number of permissible signs into a single-sided sign of approximately 70 square feet on property located at 81 Central Avenue (048.000) (134-12.00-645.00).
The hearing will be held at the Town Hall located at 32 West Avenue at 6 p.m. or as soon as possible thereafter on Thursday, December 15, 2011.
The appropriate material may be examined by interested parties on the second floor of the Wallace A. Melson Municipal Building located at 201 Central Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and noon and 1 through 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
All interested parties are welcome to attend and present their views. If unable to attend the public hearing, written comments will be accepted but must be received prior to the hearing.
