An Ordinance by the Ocean View Town Council Amending Section 999-19 and 999-24 of the Ocean View Land Use and Development Chapter (L.U.D.C.) of the Code Regarding the Open Space Zoning District
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town of Ocean View that it will hold a public hearing to review An Ordinance by the Ocean View Town Council Amending Section 999-19 and 999-24 of the Ocean View Land Use and Development Chapter of the Code Regarding the Open Space Zoning District. This legislation clarifies the purposes of the Open Space (OS) Zoning District to state that all open space, regardless of ownership, may be placed in the OS Zone. It will also add the following to the list of uses permitted by right in the OS Zone: “Customary and conventional farming operations” and “Park, recreation, and open space facilities owned by homeowner associations” to the list of uses allowed in the OS Zone.
This hearing will be held at 7 p.m. or as soon as possible thereafter on Thursday, February 16, 2012, in the Town Hall located at 32 West Avenue.
The ordinance and related materials may be examined by interested parties on the second floor of the Wallace A. Melson Municipal Building located at 201 Central Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and noon and 1 and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
All interested parties are welcome but not required to attend this hearing. If unable to attend, written comments will be accepted but must be received prior to the meeting.
