Senior captains Ravin Robinson and Jessica Hudson will represent Indian River High School at Delaware’s 6th annual Blue/Gold basketball game. The game will host 60 of the best girls and boys basketball players in the state.
“I’m so excited that we were both able to make the team,” said Hudson. This will be a good stepping stone for Hudson as she gets ready to play collegiate basketball for Delaware State University.
Ravin Robinson was also nominated for the 2005 McDonalds’ All-American high school basketball award Feb. 19. at the Millsboro McDonalds. Robinson was presented a certificate and free breakfast for her and her teammates by local McDonald’s owner Michael Meoli.
The event will begin for the athletes as they travel to Philadelphia March 14, to meet 76er’s head coach Jim O’Brien and see the Eagle’s training facility. A banquet will be held on March 15 at Ballroom of the Dover Downs Hotel and Convention Center in Dover.

Halftime will include a boy’s slam dunk, a girls’ 2-Ball contest, a battle of the sexes free-throw contest, and one lucky audience member will have the opportunity to win a brand new car if they can make a half-court shot.
Special appearances will be made by Reggy, the Philly Phanatic (mascot of the Philadelphia Phillies Major League Baseball team), YoUDee (the University of Delaware’s mascot) and Rocky Bluewinkle (mascot of the Blue Rocks- Wilmington’s minor league baseball team).
