Ocean View - P & Z Sept. 20, 2012 Meeting


The Ocean View Town Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to review the following ordinance on Thursday, September 20, 2012, and the Ocean View Town Council will hold a public hearing for the first reading of the following ordinance on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, and a public hearing for the second reading of the following ordinance on Tuesday, November 13, 2012:

• An Ordinance to Amending the Land use and Development Code of the Town of Ocean View by Restricting the Use of Outdoor Seating Areas and Providing for ‘Waiting Area Bars’ in Restaurants
This proposed ordinance limits the location and hours of use of outside seating areas and provides for the designation of waiting area bars.
All three public hearings will be held at 7 p.m. or as soon as possible thereafter in the Ocean View Town Hall located at 32 West Avenue.
The ordinance may be examined in the second floor of the Wallace A. Melson Municipal Building located at 201 Central Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and noon and 1 and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
All interested parties are welcome to attend the public hearings and present their views. If unable to attend the public hearings, written comments will be accepted but must be received prior to the public hearings.
