NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY the Board of Adjustment of the Town of Ocean View that a public hearing will be held on Application V-264, which is a request for a variance from Article V, § 140-28 and § 140-32 of the Land Use and Development Chapter of the Town Code submitted by Pryor Services, LLC on behalf of the property owners C. & J. Whalen - Central Ave. LLC. Article V, § 140-28 and § 140-32 each require a front lot line setback of 25 feet for principal structures and attached accessory structures in the R-1 zone wherein this parcel is located.
This variance seeks to permit an existing principal structure with an attached front porch to encroach into the required front lot line setback. The attached front porch encroaches six (6) feet into the required front yard setback on property located at 9 Central Avenue (PIDN: 253.000 / Sussex CTM#’s: 134-13.00-5.00).
The hearing will be held at the Town Hall located at 32 West Avenue at 6 p.m. or as soon as possible thereafter on Thursday, January 17, 2013.
The appropriate material may be examined by interested parties on the second floor of the Wallace A. Melson Municipal Building located at 201 Central Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and noon and 1 through 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
All interested parties are welcome to attend and present their views. If unable to attend the public hearing, written comments will be accepted but must be received prior to the hearing.
