BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT HEARING PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY the Board of Adjustment of the Town of Ocean View that a public hearing will be held on Application V-273, which is a request for a variance from Article V, § 140-32 and Article XIV, § 140-92-B (2) of the Land Use and Development Chapter of the Town Code submitted by the property owner Joseph & Dorene Swarter. Article V, § 140-32 requires a rear lot line setback of 30 feet for accessory structures that are attached to the principal structure, a ten foot rear lot setback for detached accessory structures and a 5 foot distance between other buildings and structures in the R-1 zone where this parcel is located.
This variance seeks to allow the applicant to make modifications to an existing deck that encroaches into the required rear lot line setback as approved by variance and to erect a screen porch on that exiting deck as well as to place a detached accessory structure within the rear lot line setback and within the required 5 foot distance between other buildings and structures on property located at 7 Caroline St. (PIDN: 094.040 / Sussex CTM#: 134-12.00-2056.00).
The hearing will be held in the Wallace A. Melson Municipal Building located at 201 Central Avenue at 6 p.m. or as soon as possible thereafter on Thursday, June 20, 2013.
The appropriate material may be examined by interested parties on the second floor of the Wallace A. Melson Municipal Building located at 201 Central Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and noon and 1 through 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
All interested parties are welcome to attend and present their views. If unable to attend the public hearing, written comments will be accepted but must be received prior to the hearing.
