Town of Ocean View - Board of Adj. March 17, '16 meeting notice

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY the Board of Adjustment of the Town of Ocean View that public hearing will be held on Application, V-319, which is a request for a Special Exception as required by Article IV, §140-24 of the Town Code and Application, V-320, a request, for a variance from Article V, §140-31 which requires a front yard setback of 30 feet, limits lot
coverage to 50% in GB-1 & GB-2 Zones and from Article XVI, §140-100-D (12)(b)[2] and [4] & Article II, §187-10-A which requires driveways to be a minimum of 5' from adjacent property lines and limits the width of a
driveway through the Right of Way (R.O.W.) to 20 feet. Both applications have been submitted by Jeremy and Megan Smith on behalf of the property owners Smithiesi, LLC.
The Special Exception (V-319) seeks to allow the applicant to establish a medical office and the Variance (V-320) seeks to allow the applicant to have a front yard setback that is less than required, lot coverage that will exceed 50% and a driveway that is within five feet of an adjacent property line and wider than twenty feet through the R.O.W. on property zoned GB-1, located at 98 Central Avenue (PIDN: 059.000 / Sussex CTM#: 134-12.00-523.00).
All interested parties are welcome to attend and present their views at the hearing, which will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 6 p.m. or as soon as possible thereafter, in the Town Hall located at 32 West Avenue. If unable to attend the public hearing, written comments will be accepted but must be received prior to the hearing. The meeting agenda is subject to change, so please call the Town Office at 302 539-1208 on the afternoon of the meeting to ensure that this hearing is still scheduled if you plan to attend.
The appropriate material may be examined by interested parties on the second floor of the Wallace A. Melson Municipal Building located at 201 Central Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and noon and 1 through 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
