Annual Springtime Jamboree is just around the corner

The 34th Annual Springtime Jamboree — a country, Western and gospel musical program — will be held on Friday, April 8, and Saturday, April 9, at 7 p.m.

The jamboree was created as a fundraiser to help local organizations. For the second year in a row, the jamboree will benefit Millsboro Little League.

Gerry Hocker, who helps organize the event and annually performs in it, said the Millsboro Little League will be the beneficiary again due to last year’s poor weather and early show date.

The jamboree, organized by state Sen. Gerald Hocker and featuring local musical talent, will be held at Indian River High School. Tickets purchased in advance cost $14 per person, while those purchased at the door cost $15.

Pre-show entertainment, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on both nights, will be provided by Ron Howard on piano.

Those who are interested in purchasing tickets in advance may do so by visiting Hocker’s Super Center, G&E or Hocker’s Grocery & Deli.
