When Coastal Point Publisher Susan Lyons was helping her daughter plan a coastal Delaware wedding, she noticed it was difficult to find local vendors in one place.
With that thought in mind, Delaware Seaside Bride was created, with the mission of connecting couples-to-be to local wedding professions — all in one place.
In its second year of existence, Delaware Seaside Bride has published its second annual magazine, featuring real weddings that span the coast, local flavor suggestions to give guests a taste of the beach and more.
The magazine also includes a directory, which lists various services a couple could need — from accommodations to calligraphy, catering to tents, and more.
Last year’s first edition garnered attention, being given the “Best in Show” award for special publications by the Maryland, Delaware, D.C. Press Association.
Copies of the free publication can be picked up throughout Sussex County and beyond. Magazines can be found in downtown Bethany Beach in standalone boxes, as well as at the Bethany-Fenwick Area and Greater Millsboro Chambers of Commerce.
To celebrate the release of the magazine, Delaware Seaside Bride, along with Baywood Greens, will be hosting a wedding professionals’ networking event on Oct. 27 at Baywood. The bi-yearly event is designed to honor advertisers and bring together the best in the business for an evening of networking and fun.
Along with the yearly magazine, Delaware Seaside Bride offers an online presence on its website, at www.DelawareSeasideBride.com. Updated throughout the week, the site offers tips, tricks, inspiration and more to its visitors. The site also includes information that you may not think of, such as parking and beach regulations.
And, with a strong social media presence, Delaware Seaside Bride offers its readers a number of outlets through which to gain wedding-related information.
No matter what their wedding needs may be, Delaware Seaside Bride aims to serve as a resource for locals or visitors who wish to have their special day surrounded by friends, family and the beauty of coastal Delaware.
