ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the Town of Ocean View, Alterations to 2nd Floor, Wallace A. Melson Municipal Building, Project Number 2017-04 will be received by the Town Manager of Ocean View until 2:00 p.m., local time, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the Office of the Administrative Official, Wallace A. Melson Municipal Building, 201 Central Ave, 2nd Floor, Ocean View, Delaware 19970, at which time they will be opened, read, and recorded.
The work involves construction alterations on the 2nd floor of the building outlined in the architect’s drawings. All work shall be done in accordance with the Delaware Uniform Construction Code and the International Residential Code (IRC) including all of its applications sub-codes and other local codes, ordinances and requirements.
Interested Contractors may purchase a copy of the Contract Documents for $25.00 during normal working hours starting Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Office of the Administrative Official, Wallace A. Melson Municipal Building, 201 Central Ave, 2nd Floor, Ocean View, Delaware, 19970.
In addition, a pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2017, 2:00 p.m. local time, in the Wallace A. Melson Municipal Building located at 201 Central Ave, Ocean View, Delaware. Attendance at this meeting is mandatory for all prospective bidders and will be a
pre-requisite for submitting a bid.
Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and shall be marked clearly as follows: Sealed Bid - Proposal for Alterations to 2nd Floor, Wallace A. Melson Bldg. Requirements for a 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond, and Contractor's Insurance are included in the Contract Documents.
Each Bidder must deposit with his Bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction for Bidders. The Town of Ocean View reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and make such award as appears most advantageous to the Town.
