Two incumbents have filed for re-election to their seats on the Indian River School District school board. Dr. Donald G. Hattier, a resident of Dagsboro, has filed for another three-year term in his District 4 seat. Nina Lou Bunting, also of Dagsboro, has filed for an additional three-year term in her District 3 seat.
As of Coastal Point press time, no one had filed for the two seats in Indian River School District’s District 5. IRSD Vice President Reginald L. Helms and M. Elaine McCabe currently hold those two seats, and their terms do expire in 2005.
The filing deadline for candidates, incumbent or otherwise, is Friday, March 4, at 4:30 p.m. Voting in the school board election is set for Tuesday, May 10.
District 5 includes the area north of Dagsboro, extending slightly to the west and to the coast in the east, running alongside the Indian River itself to the bay. District 3 comprises the area to the west of Dagsboro and Frankford, south to Selbyville and extending far to the west. District 4 includes the incorporated areas of both Dagsboro and Frankford, as well as all of Millville, Ocean View, Fenwick Island and Bethany Beach.
