Harriett I. McClung, 82, of Milleville, died at Beebe Medical Center on Sunday, Feb. 5. She was a cosmetologist, and owned and operated Harriett’s Beauty Salon for 60 years.
She was a member of Millville United Methodist Church, and was active in the church choir. She also was a former member of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Southern Delaware Hair Dresser’s Association.
She is survived by her son, Harry Ray McClung and daughter-in-law Luray Mitchell McClung; two grandsons, Aaron L. McClung of Chesterfield, Va. and Asher L. McClung of Millsboro; two brothers, Harry R. Cobb of Philadelphia and William J. Cobb of Dagsboro; and one sister, Violet Hudson of Dagsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew E. McClung, a brother, Jesse Cobb and a sister, Hilda Savage.
Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services. Interment was to be in Mariner’s Bethel Cemetery.
