Edith Mae Smith, 83, of Dagsboro, died at Green Valley Terrace, in Millsboro, on Monday, Feb. 6. She was an attendant at the Stockley Center near Georgetown, before retiring in 1982.
She was a member of the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and attended Bethel United Methodist Church in Dagsboro.
She is survived by two sons, E. Sherman Smith of Millsboro and Barry Marshall Smith of Apache, Okla.; two daughters, Betty R. West of Frankford and Joyce A. Daisey of Ocean View; one brother, Robert Ketterman of Salisbury, Md.; one sister, Katherine Brown of Harrington; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl George Smith.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m. at the Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro. Friends may call at noon. Interment is scheduled to be in Prince George’s Cemetery in Dagsboro.
