Ethel P. Short, 80, of Frankford, died at home on Tuesday, March 21. She worked for the Indian River School District at the Frankford Elementary School in the cafeteria, having retired after 28 years of service as the head chef.
She was a member of the Antioch AME Church in Frankford. She loved to listen to gospel music and she loved to cook.
She is survived by one son, Harold W. Short; her adopted daughters, Lillian Tingle, Delores Blake and Sharon Townsend; two sisters, Dorothy Pool and Eula Mae Brown; two grandsons, Tyler and Derrick Short; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Short, in 2000.
Funeral services were scheduled for Monday, March 27, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro with interment with her late husband at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
